The coronavirus pandemic has caused massive shifts in the way consumers live and work. In India, consumers are investing in activewear and loungewear as their work lives have become flexible and searching for clean and natural beauty and personal care products for their health. The pandemic has also changed how Indian consumers shop, pushing e-commerce into the spotlight in the country. Consumers are increasingly ordering food, shopping and making payments digitally. Finally, consumers are protecting their homes with sanitisation products, but will invest less in products such as fabric sanitisers and return to staples such as home care disinfectants.
