Peruvian parents are focussed on finding products which are both safe and effective for their children and are willing to invest in the best options within their budgets. Preferred products include those with natural ingredients and skin-kind formulations, which are free from fragrances, and which do not contain any potentially harmful chemicals.
The Peruvian government approved a change in regulations which expands paternity leave from ten to 15 days and considers a bigger period for exceptional cases such as adoptions. This change aims to help men adapt to their role in being a new parent and help more with the new baby.
One challenge to the growth potential of the category, however, comes from citations of decreasing fertility levels in the country.
