Vending is expected to record solid current value growth over the forecast period, in line with demand for a wide range of products from busy consumers searching for convenience. Previously limited to products such as chilled drinks and quick snacks, such as salty snacks, chocolate, and biscuits, vending players have been gradually expanding their portfolios as the Brazilian market matures.
The pandemic accelerated the health and wellness trend, with an increasing number of Brazilians therefore seeking healthier drinks and snacks for consumption on-the-go. Options perceived as healthier, such as baked cassava crisps, chilled sandwiches, and pressed 100% juice, have therefore started to appear in vending machines in locations such as subway stations and shopping centres, and this trend is set to continue in the forecast period.
The increasing installation of vending machines equipped with QR code payment technology is expected in the forecast period. The reasons behind this are twofold.
