As prices stabilise and the negative effects of inflation progressively wane, demand for spirits is set to go up over the forecast period, following a negative performance in volume sales in 2023. At the same time, lower pressure on purchasing power is also likely to push consumers to spend more in the on-trade channel, especially over the second half of the forecast period.
As the premiumisation trend sees a revival, demand is likely to move more and more towards high-quality, sophisticated products. Indeed, the rise in consumer health consciousness is likely to support this trend by encouraging consumers to drink lower quantities of spirits (and other alcoholic drinks) but higher-quality products.
Much as in other alcoholic drinks categories, the mocktail trend and the trend towards mindful drinking and healthier living habits are likely to drive growth in non-alcoholic spirits.
