There are three main meals eaten per day in Cambodia: Breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, many rural workers will not eat a full breakfast and will instead snack on fruit before having an early lunch.
Cambodia’s real GDP growth in 2023 is projected to grow by around 5.5% over the previous year, mainly driven by the service sector and agriculture while inflation is forecast to fall further to around 3.
Rural road infrastructure remains poor, with most rural roads unpaved and subject to frequent flooding, especially during the rainy season that runs from May to October. Despite these challenges, the country’s road infrastructure is improving, although a sharp increase in traffic has also had a negative impact on rural roads.
