After the slowdown seen in 2023, footwear is projected to see stronger growth over the forecast period. The Vietnamese economy is predicted to see stronger GDP growth during the early years of the forecast period, compared to 2023 which is likely to boost consumer confidence and encourage people to spend more on footwear.
Over the forecast period, footwear companies are expected to look to increasingly target younger consumers through the use of social media platforms such as Facebook and TikTok. Vietnam’s younger generation are generally more fashion-conscious and some of these consumers will often purchase branded products to display their social status.
Consumer awareness of the benefits of having high quality footwear has increased due to higher living standards in the country. Vietnamese customers are increasingly recognising the advantages of owning a pair of high-quality footwear, including an improved appearance, higher quality materials, and trendy designs.
