How do I order online?

Just select the product(s) you wish to purchase and click the "buy now" or "add to cart" button. Enter your personal details, your card details and click "buy now". You will then receive instant online access to your report. An electronic receipt for the purchase will also be issued as well as a copy of the full invoice by post.

 

What methods of payment can I use?

Pay by credit card

We accept all major credit cards on our website including Visa, Mastercard and American Express. The quickest way to get access to our data is to pay by credit card on our website.

Pay by invoice

Just choose the "invoice" option and submit your details. We will then issue an invoice for the amount specified.

 

How quickly will I receive the report if I buy online?

When you buy online by credit card, the reports and data extracts are added to your account and are available for download immediately.

When you buy online by invoice, the reports and data extracts are only available once the invoice has been paid in full. Payment can be completed online by credit card or bank transfer.

Subscriptions to Passport will be set up within 24 hours of purchase.

 

Is my purchase secure?

Yes. Euromonitor International uses SSL web server certificates to encrypt all personal details entered on our site (256 bit encryption). Extended Validation SSL Certificates comply with the strongest identity authentication standard available today. A green address bar will display in the latest high-security browsers if a site uses Extended Validation SSL. This bar immediately assures visitors that this is an authenticated web site.

Additionally, a green security bar with the organisation's name and a notation that the organisation is certified by Thawte will appear next to the address bar. The green address bar and security bar help customers know that they are on a legitimate web site and that their transactions will be secure.

 

In which formats are reports available?

The report format is stated in the report information page. When you purchase a report online you will receive a PDF version of the report.

For some reports a data extract in Microsoft Excel is also available. The Excel spreadsheet includes pre-built calculations that allow you to easily manipulate the data.

Other types of reports are available in Microsoft PowerPoint.

 

When is the new edition of the report going to be published?

Our reports are fully updated annually. Existing clients can receive an automatic email with information on the latest version of a purchased report.

Will I receive an invoice?

Yes. You will receive an electronic receipt by e-mail immediately after the purchase, in addition you will receive a copy of the original invoice by post.

 

Do you offer discounts for academics or NGO's?

We don't offer discounts for single reports. There are special rates for academic database subscriptions.

 

Do you have promotions, offers or sales on reports?

On occasion we have special promotions on report purchases. These are only valid and redeemable for purchases through the cart during the period specified. Please note that a promo code cannot be applied retrospectively to an online purchase that has already been completed.

What is the difference between RSP and MSP?

RSP is the retail selling price (i.e. sales at end price to consumer) including retailer and wholesaler mark-ups and sales tax (except in the US and Canada) and excise taxes.

MSP is the manufacturer selling price (i.e. sales at ex-factory price) therefore minus sales tax, VAT, retailer and wholesaler mark-ups etc.

 

Can you define "on" trade?

On-trade is a term typically used in reference to sales of alcoholic drinks and refers to sales through bars, restaurants, cafés, hotels and other catering establishments.

 

Can you define "off" trade?

Off-trade is a term typically used in reference to sales of alcoholic drinks and refers specifically to sales through retail outlets. Off-trade sales represent total sales through the following channels: Supermarkets / Hypermarkets, Discounters, Convenience Stores, Independent Small Grocers, Forecourt Retailers, Food / Drink / Tobacco Specialists, Other Grocery Retailers, Non-Grocery Retailers, Vending, Home Shopping, Internet Retailing and Direct Selling.

 

What does GBO stand for?

GBO stands for Global Brand Owner, i.e. ultimate owner of brand.

 

What does NBO stand for?

NBO stands for National Brand Owner, i.e. producer (company's own brand or under license) or distributor of brand.

 

Do you include duty-free sales in your research?

No. Sales generated in the duty-free channel are excluded from all Euromonitor International's FMCG research coverage, including alcoholic drinks.

 

How do your reports compare to retail audit data?

Unlike scan data, Euromonitor International covers all distribution channels including direct sales and informal channels like outdoor markets, while audit data may be confined to only some distribution channels.

 

What is CAGR?

CAGR, or compound annual growth rate, is the annual average growth expressed in percentage terms for either the historic or forecast period.
