Session 2 title: Beauty industry in ugly economic times: the way forward

Session descriptions:
Session 1:
European consumers for a long time were quite keen on buying organic goods, however, over the recent volume sales have slowed down. Inflation and supply disruptions had an effect on food market, but other factors are shaping consumer shopping decisions when it come to organic. Organic food producers need to find new ways to sell to consumers and return to sales growth in the long run. Presentation will go over case studies how focusing on supply chain, ingredient origin and health attributes can help amplify organic food sales.

Session 2:
With household incomes lagging behind soaring inflation and beauty consumers becoming thrifty amid the cost-of-living crisis, sustainability-focused companies are seeing their commitment tested as never before. Povilas Sugintas will cover both the theory and some practical examples how companies can exploit consumer insights to balance value, affordability and profitability while sticking to their beliefs and maintaining eco credentials.
