Each year, we spend 1% of our turnover on charitable projects chosen by our staff. That means over £1 million this year and rising as the company grows.
Supporting work that makes a real difference is key to our DNA. In fact, a recent study focused on women's economic empowerment in Sub-Saharan Africa was partially sponsored by our Pro Bono programme.
Within this study we identify growing economic sectors in each of the 13 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa that hold the most promising and lucrative opportunities for women, especially young women.
We take our environmental responsibility very seriously. Our programme has a number of elements including our carbon balancing programme which offsets our carbon emissions from all global flights and energy use in all our offices. Our charity partners for this programme are Save the Orangutan, World Land Trust and Sea Shepherd. In all our offices we encourage environmentally responsible behaviour: all our offices recycle waste and we have a plastic-free policy for staff and offices to follow.
We offer two days paid leave each year for our staff to spend on volunteering. Projects supported by our offices around the world include mentoring, external eco-projects and education and refugee support programmes.
From running marathons to sponsoring quiz nights and after-work social events, both individual employees and offices fundraise for charities we choose to partner with. All funds raised are matched by Euromonitor.
The EcoVadis Rating covers a broad range of non-financial management systems including Environmental, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement impacts.
